rainy saturday wear

Today I wanted to share a quick post with my rainy Saturday weather attire.  It’s Spring here in the Midwest, so that calls for 75 degrees and sunny weather one week, and 46 degrees and rainy the next (insert eye roll).  I always find this time of year challenging to dress, because I am so over the clothes I’ve worn all winter long and really ready to get into spring… but some days (like today) don’t allow for warmer weather clothing.  So what I tend to do is mix a little winter with spring, so I can stay warm but fresh.  Right?? (please play)

I bought the cardigan I’m wearing at Nordstrom Rack this past fall – I think it pairs really nicely with regular denim, but I really like freshening it up with my very favorite white pair of skinnies (I told you these would be on repeat!).  Monochromatic looks are really in for the spring.  The other thing you could do with this cardigan, once it gets a bit warmer, is pair it with a tank, shorts, and sandals.  I’m seeing a lot of people do that in warmer weather climates.  It’s all about the long cardi and shorts.  This is also my favorite tank top of all time. It even surpasses my maternity cami from Target.  I wore that bad boy for years before I was ever pregnant because it was the longest tank I could find.   So you know this one is good if it’s replacing the one I’ve had for years and years (in multiple colors, no less).  I LOVE the fit, and it’s a really good quality material.  I think it’ll hold up for years to come.  An for $18, I consider that a good staple piece to invest in.

My cardigan is Free People, but they’ve sold out of the exact one so I am linking similar ones (and some adorable way more affordable ones too) below!

Enjoy your Saturday!
