Hi there!
It’s been a while since I’ve shared much in the way of food pics or posts, so I though I’d take the time today to do an actual food post. If you’ve followed me for much time at all, you know that I LOVE to cook. I don’t say that lightly, it truly is one of my very favorite things to do. This year, especially, I have been loving cooking even more because of being able to cook things from my garden. This is the first year we’ve had our garden and it is quite bountiful! Because of that, I have a lot of herbs and that come in at once, so I like to share them with friends and family. Any excuse to give people food or have them over is always a win for me, since food is my love language. 😉
So I decided to invest in a few new pieces of serveware for these occasions and found some excellent ones from Walmart Home and I am loving them!! I really can’t believe the quality for the price and anyone who has seen these in our house has been loving these too! I bought every one of these below and have been using them on the reg.
This was my setup the other night – I used the 3 bowl set, the footed serving bowl, the oven to table dish, the striped kitchen towels, and the serving tray with gold handles! Again, all from Walmart Home!
Here’s what I made: cheesy garlic bread in the pizza oven with fresh oregano from the garden, along with three dipping sauces. I made clarified garlic butter, pizza sauce, and pesto with basil from the garden and put it in that 3 bowl set
I also made chicken mac n cheese topped with panko bread crumbs and bacon and put it in the oven to table dish so that I could broil it in the oven for a minute prior to serving. And finally, a peach and tomato panzanella salad with spinach and basil from the garden with homemade croutons. I love the footed serving bowl for salads and have been also putting the abundance of tomatoes I’m getting from the garden in it in front of the window so that they can ripen. It’s beautiful for serving and super functional as well.
Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring today’s post. All opinions expressed, as always, are my own ;).
