My husband and I were lucky enough to take a trip to Cabo this last week and it was just wonderful!
I have to say, I was petrified to leave my daughter behind because she’s practically attached to my hip. I’ve only spent the night away from her once and never even spent a full day away from her. I really do believe it’s good for her to have some time around others and for my husband and I to have time just to ourselves. And maybe even more so, it’s important for ME to just have time to myself where I can re-group and not have a little person’s life depending on me 24 hours a day. (You can see all the motivation I kept pushing through my head to get on the plane). Though I was a Grumpasaurous Rex for the entire morning we left, the second my face felt the sun, I was able to unwind and relax and realize that I wasn’t being punished – I was being rewarded. A vacay! Hell yeah!
So I brought some cute outfits with me along the way and decided to round up the fashion with some links so you could check them out for yourselves!
My luggage is from Delsey but we got it last year and they no longer make the black and tan version. There are other super adorable options here though! That’s the exact site we bought the luggage from because it had the best deal on it. The black and white striped duffle was found at Nordstrom Rack (they don’t have anything similar online) for less than $50! Here is a very similar option though for a nice price point! My denim is by SP Black from Nordstrom. They are sold out of my color but this is a very similar style and fit and so is this. My new favorite cami in the whole wide world is by Topshop at Nordstrom. I can live in this thing! The fit and fabric are perfect. My slide on converse can be found at Nordstrom too. The long cardi is something I stole from my sis but it’s Pink Rose brand from TJ Maxx.
This was my outfit for the first night. I love being able to put together outfits that don’t break the bank! My top is an off the shoulder crocheted top from Charlotte Russe. They appear to be sold out of it online but this one is really similar. The skirt is another steal from my sister, and they no longer have the exact one but I think this would look super cute with that style top, and so would this!!
This was our first full day out on the beach. My swimsuit is from Abercrombie… I was actually really surprised to find that Abercrombie has re-branded itself a bit and you can find some really cute stuff there (and even find a good deal on it if you shop on the weekends). Here is the link to the top and link to the bottoms. The cover up is from Target last year and similar ones are here and here. My sunnies are a steal from Nordstrom at only $12! I don’t like spending a lot of money on sunglasses to take on vacation that could get lost or scratched during travel. Well actually, I just always like finding a great bargain on something trendy. Find them right here. My husband’s board shorts are a brand called Vissla. He absolutely loves them and has them in a few different prints – shop board shorts to find some shorts that apparently aren’t too short and aren’t too long (I guess that’s a thing with dudes?:)).
THIS dress is a major bargain find! It is currently on sale for less than $25! And the back is backless and strappy and beautiful! Pair with some strappy nude shoes and call it a night.
My husband and I were headed for a couple’s massage that was Ah-mazing when I threw on this comfy outfit. This top just went majorly on sale and is only $8 now!! I may have to pick it up in another color. The back is a really cute T strap. The shorts are so soft and comfortable. The only thing is that they have stretch in them, so I’d almost size down (or just enjoy the relaxed fit – it helps when you’re on vacation ;)). Find them here. My sunnies were from Amazon for only $13! (And free shipping if you have Prime. I have a saying, “if it’s not Prime, it’s not mine” because I use the service so much! If you don’t have Amazon Prime, you have far more energy to get out and shop than I do! I’ve even thought of buying dog bones there. I digress.)
My top for this night is also from Charlotte Russe but I found it in-store. Similar links are here and here. My denim is my new favorite white denim – the fit is perfect and they’re really soft. Just don’t put them on too fast or you’ll put your foot through the knee, like I’ve almost done multiple times already;). Find them at Nordstrom. My wedges are from last year but here is this year’s version.
I wore the same shorts the next day to go exploring downtown Cabo. I paired it with a casual sleeveless top (that and coconut oil helped with a weird neck burn from the day before) from Abercrombie. They sold out of the exact color – probably because the top is now only $7!! Here is the link to the other color. I love bright pops of color with more neutral tones, which is why I threw on the bright coral purse — here is a link to an almost identical purse from Kate Spade.
That afternoon, we found ourselves back by the pool (weird neck burn and all). Which is why this swimsuit came in so handy. I wouldn’t wear it every day because I think it’d leave a weird tan line, but I love the switch up. I found it at TJ Maxx for less than $20 (which is why I love TJ oh so much) but you can find an almost identical suit on this site for just as great of a bargain. My hub’s shorts are from Vissla again 😉
This dress was OH so cute and comfortable but it just sold out! I think it’s going to come back in stock and the link for it is right here. You could also try this option for a similar look. I’m going to have to blog about my super easy 5 minute hair do with this dress! It’s a great switch up for an up do and it actually works best with dirty hair. That’s like a triple win.
So there are most of my looks from our Cabo getaway! I hope you can try some of these looks for your next getaway or just for your summer night looks and have as much fun in them as I did. Enjoy!
